The restoration process takes many steps to achieve a nearly concourse perfect steering wheel. The rim of the wheel is carefully cleaned to remove all deteriorating materials, then any damage is repaired using modern professional materials that were tested for temperature stability. New woodgrain pattern is carefully applied that has the correct pattern and texture. The color is then applied using several different tinting bases until the correct shade and color is achieved. Striping or other details are applied followed by several coats of ultraviolet inhibiting clear to protect the rim for many years. New switches, connection wires are installed if available or rebuilt to perform like new. Everything is tested for proper performance. Horn pads, center caps are restored or replaced as needed to make your wheel look like new. All of our work is 100% guaranteed to your satisfaction.
If you would like to have an estimate for restoring your wheel, just send a few good clear and close-up pictures along with a description of any damaged areas. We will respond within 48 hours with a detailed estimate. Turn around time can vary from a few days to several months depending on the current condition of your wheel. When your wheel arrives, we will take pictures, identify, evaluate and confirm arrival. After the restoration is finished, more pictures are taken, emailed to you and followed by an invoice that can be paid with Paypal, money order, cashiers check, personal check or direct bank account transfer.
